🚌 Drop Off

Plan Ahead: Start your gear drop-off about 2 hours before your start time. This allows:

  • 1 hour to drop off gear and park at Gardner Dam

  • 10–15 minutes for shuttle travel to the start

  • 30 minutes line-up at the start before your boat launch

🚌 Shuttle Service

  • Starting location: Friday night boat inspection parking lot at Gardner Dam

  • Purpose: Transport racers to the boat start after gear drop-off

  • Runs: 6:30 AM – 9:45 AM

  • You may also have someone drive you to the start if preferred

  • No shuttle after the race – have a vehicle at the finish (Gardner Dam) to collect your gear before the party

🏁 Race

BIBS & TIMING CHIPS ⏱️

  • All racers will receive a bib with a timing chip embedded.

  • Attach the bib to the front of your shirt or shorts. The chip may not register your split or finish time if placed elsewhere.

  • At the kayak/bike exchange, remove your PFD (personal flotation device) before crossing the timing mat 🛶.

  • Volunteers will guide racers across timing mats at each exchange. All racers must cross the mat to have their time recorded.

  • Relay teams: Members must wait in the transition area for their teammate to finish. Please do not stand near the timing mat.

SPECTATOR AREAS 👀

  • Spectators can view the paddling segment at Langlade Motel (river-side lawn, Hwy 64/55 intersection).

  • Do not view the race from the Hwy 64 bridge.

  • Spectators, please approach the course cautiously ⚠️ and yield to racers and volunteers.

SAFETY & FIRST-AID 🩺

  • Aid stations and porta-potties are located at both transition areas and the finish line 💧.

  • The Wisconsin Bike Patrol 🚴 will monitor the bike and run trails.

  • The Wolf River Volunteer Fire Dept. 🔥 will be stationed at the finish to assist those in need. Please thank these dedicated volunteers for their service!

  • Bees and hornets are most active this time of year 🐝. If allergic, carry an EpiPen throughout the race.

CUT-OFF TIMES

  • Racers must reach the BOAT/BIKE exchange by 12:00 PM and the BIKE/RUN exchange by 1:00 PM, or they will be disqualified ⚠️.

  • These cut-offs help respect the time and effort of our many volunteers.
